Liturgy
The word liturgy literally means the work of the people. However, sometimes folks associate liturgy with “formality.”
As we gather for worship on Sunday morning, rather than seeking to be “formal,” we seek to be a people doing the common “work” of gathering together to hear the stories of the God who loves us and invites us to share a common meal at the table of Holy Communion. This is a result of mercy offered to us, and it means that the invitation to join in the “work” is open to persons of all classes, races, ability levels, and backgrounds.
This “work of the people” is a holy drama, and we can’t wait for you to join us as we learn our parts together! We don’t promise to be a perfect community; rather, we can only hope to be a community growing together in love of God and love of neighbor.
